"RunApp winword.exe /t " Returns corrupt file error
I'm trying to launch Word from a macro using the RunApp action. The command
line I use works perfectly from the start|run menu, but the same command
line returns an error when the Access macro is run. The line is:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\WINWORD.EXE
/t..\..\..\CoverLetter.dot
When the macro is run, Word launches, but returns a "file corrupt . . "

Why does Access 2003 tell me that my .mdb window is 2000 format?
I recently purchased M. S. Office 2003 Professional Upgrade and installed
same. Now, for the first time, I am using Access 2003. Can anyone tell me
why, when the *.mdb little database window opens, in the title bar it says,
(ACCESS 2000 FILE FORMAT)? My Access 2003 verson is 11.6566.8036) Sp 2

locked program?
I'm new to access. I'm working for a company that is starting to use access.
The program was made but someone else and we are having a few problems. It
is a purchasing log that we are having problems with. If 2 people are buying
something at the same time with different customers or the same customers it

Adding a record then filling it in
Hi All,
Really stupid question, but bear with (newbie with VBA and Access for the
most part). I want to allow the user to pick a file (or set of files) and
then fill in a table with attributes from the selected file (file name, date
created, etc). How do you do this? I can get the file list and loop through
them, but I can't seem to find any help on how to add a record to the

File Merge Help
Hi,
I am trying to merge txt files in access but when i am opening 2nd file
system replaces the 1st one. I want to merge 20 txt files in same table.
ie. 001.txt containing 100 records
002.txt containing 100 records
I want single access file of the 200 records

Need some quick help!! Locked query fields...
I was ready to use a program I just finished, but when I gave it the final
test I found that somehow I locked my query fields so that they can't accept
data through my forms. I used the same queries in my older versions and they

calculate time in access
I am a new use and having difficulty in calculating a time as follows. I
have a table with the following "Hours", "Rate". The hours can be 15 mins
upwards to 12 hrs 15 mins and the rate can be 1,1.33,1.5 or 2. I am trying
to calculate the accrued time by multiplying the Hours by the Rate which I

Percent entry in Access 2003
I have a number field formatted as percent. I want to add 5%. Whenever I do
the screen shows 0. It seems to depend on whether I clear the entire field.
Leaving the 0% in the field and entering 5 in front of the 0 turns to 0 but
if I clear the field and enter 5 it shows 500%. Anyone have any ideas?...

Custom report toolbar prints wrong window
I have a report with a custom toolbar.
When I open the report and press the printer icon, it prints the report to
my printer.
However, when my user opens the report and presses the printer icon, it
prints an image of another open form, a menu that is hidden behind the report.
What causes this and how can I fix it to work with all users?

How to cut, copy paste word doc to email address?
I know this is simple for most, I am a novice. I have a letter I have written
