How do I import Lotus Organizer 6.1 into Outlook?
I use Lotus Organizer 6.1 for scheduling and contact info. I have been
syncing the file into a Palm Pilot. I want to purchase a Treo for the cell
phone use with the file info in one device. Treo syncs with Outlook. I want
to import the file info from Lotus Organizer 6.1 into Outlook, but the help
info gives direction for importing only Lotus Organizer 4 or 5....

I feel dumb, I am not a new user, just a learning user.
I need to create export specification.
all the books and this forum say go to File >get external data.
I cannot find 'get external data' anywhere on database file menu, even when
clicking on item I want to export. Your help will be appreciated, please

Share problem with Access to SQL 2005 table
We're using an Access 2003 ODBC connection to a SQL 2005 database. Once I
added fields to the SQL 2005 table and re-linked the connection in Access the
entire table began generating an error of "This record has been changed by
another user since you started editing it..."
The old ODBC link, although not showing the added SQL fields, can modify the
records without problem.

Problem using UNION with linked exchange tables
I have 2 linked exchange tables in my database. These are linked to contact
folders on my exchange account.
I can query these tables one in a time, but when I use a SQL statement
SELECT DB1.*
FROM DB1
UNION SELECT DB2.*
FROM DB2
Acces gives an error, that it cannot find table DB2, although it is linked
under this name. Further testing with other linked tables did not solve the

Importing Ecel to Access 2003
Help please
I am trying to import a spreadsheet from my PC to my Laptop, I have saved it
on a stick and resaved it on my laptop.
When I try to import I get the message cannot find or string incorrect!!!
It only happens with this spreadsheet, all the others I try work perfectly
Any ideas, I did not set up the original spreadsheet but it does not appear
to have any security restriction...

Maintaining Datatypes When Exporting to Excel
I have table in Access with a column with a data type set to "Number". When
I export the data to Excel I want to maintain the data type as numeric.
Instead, after the data is exported to Excel, the data seems to be changed to
text, even if I change the format to "Numeric". The only way to convert the
data to numeric is to press F2 in each cell and press "Enter".

Import NCLOB field from Oracle to MS Access 2003
When I try to import external data from Oracle to MS Access 2003 using Oracle
ODBC Driver, I got error saying "ORA-24806: LOB form mismatch (#24806)".
In the Oracle table, we do have a NCLOB column. It's a LOB and it is
unicode. I wonder whether MS Access has any way to read this kind of info.

in access 2003 it is very long, when i use on the same computer 2000 it is
very fast why ?
The both base are in access 2003
the Subdatasheet Name property are set to none
The disk format is NTFS
short name are used for both database

Connecting two dB's via switchboards
Is it possible to connect two dB via switchoboards?
I have two dB that have a bunch of forms and queries all set up. each dB has
its own switchboards configured. I would like to go from Db1 Switchboard menu
to Db2 Switchboard. Is this possible?

Access query result (email) to be directly loaded in Outlook "Send
Hi,
I have an Access db that contains email addresses. What I would like to do
is that when I run a query and get a list of addresses. The resulting email
addresses can be loaded directly into Outlook "Send To" field by pressing a
button.

ODBC Paradox link
Is it true that once you have set up ODBC correctly in the control panel you
can then link to a table in a different database format (Paradox in this
case) as if it were an Access table.
Its not working for me, I just get the error message "External table is not
in the expected format."

Export to Excel 97-2003 not allowed
I have a query that is opened by the user, who then wants to export the file

lost files of Excel
Repaired windows and lost all 5 yrs excell 2000 files. I had found all the
old files , went in safe mode and made them assaciable to the new ADMIN. and
than I did a dump thing, deleted the old user accont from the user profiles.
and now all files were lost. I had saved the data before deleting the user.
But at the end, found it was only short cuts it saved not the original files.

Link to selective rows in Oracle table
I am able to link to an Oracle table but I don't want to pull in all 2
million records from the table, only a selection based on criteria.
I cring at asking such a basic question but is there a way when I link to an
Oracle table in Access to only pull data based on criteria (like Fiscal Year,
Account and so on)?

Opening a .dat file in Excel, then saving as .xls, all From Access
I've seen several threads hint at this, but I can't seem to get any of them
to work. I am downloading data from another source and importing it into
Access. The problem is, I can only save the original data as a .dat file.

Problems relating to Ruler and Viewing

Insert Object Problem
