import text file - user is not dbo
Hi,
We have an application in Access which is linked to SQL Server.
The code is VBA. We would like to import a text file to a table
which is owned by dbo, but the user that is running the application
is not a dbo.
When we used doCmd.TransferTextMethod we succeeded to import
data only to a table owned by the user, but didn't succeed in importing
to a table owned by dbo. any code such as dbo...

imported data not pulling in query
Hi.
I backed up my data to another table, then proceeded to try and send data to
an archive group; in which case it failed and I lost all the data in my
table. So I imported the backed up data, and it imported fine. However,
reports and queries are not pulling the data. Any ideas? I'm clueless on
this one.
Thanks all.

Invalid argument - importing dbf from shp-file
Hi!
I'm trying to import the attribute table of a shp-file - that is a dbf-file
(from ArcGIS 9.0). It's worked many times before, but now it suddenly
doesn't. I'm trying to figure out what's different about this shp or dbf.
Often I get the message Access can't find the file and to check if the name
is correct, even though the icon is there to click on. Then it usually helps
to rename a...

Schema.ini
Hi,
I've just discovered the schema.ini file. I'm wondering if it can help out
with a problem we have.
We have an application that we have on a remote system shifts out data as
CSV files but does not provide any column headers.
Can column headers for a headless file be provided in the schema.ini file ?
TIA

Also, do I need to be a rocket scientist to accomplish this feat?

appears.
If the MDB file I open already has ODBC links, the ODBC links are still
there, and work fine - I just can't add any new ones.
