I have an office developer xp 2002. I am trying to make a presentation i

Macro Security on Runtime
I've packaged an app and installed it on a machine. I'm using Access 2003
Dev. Tools.
When the user runs the program they have to go through three security boxes
to get to the app. They cannot however set permissions to allow VB to run
since they only have the runtime.
How can I eliminate this behavior?

New Secured Access Database
I've recently secured my Access 2003 database with the user security
wizard. I would like to make additional safety precautions with the
database so that when a user is logged in, they will not be able to

packaging vb application with access db
after creating the vb package and including the access db file, i
wanted to check that if i remove the access db file from its source,
would it affect execution of the packaged application. i can clearly
see the access file in the package folder but, the application gives an
error if i change the path of the source access file( i.e. not the 1 in
the package folder), plz help?

Hide Access 2003 Application Window with ADE
I was told that with the 2003 ADE one could use the package or setup wizard
to "turn off or hide" the access application window. Does anyone know if this
is true and where in the ade is this set. I know that mvp has code but it
requires too much attention when showing forms versus reports etc....

distribution to old platforms
I'm going to be distributing an Access application that I created with
Access 2003. Some of my clients are still running Windows 98. How can I
create a version that will work on those machines? Can I simply include an
older version of the Access Runtime (where do I get one if so?) and convert
to Access 2000 format?

List of Access XP Runtime modifications
I know about MSKB article 837150 "You may get error message when you install
an Access 2002 runtime deployment package on a computer that is running
Windows XP SP2 or Windows Server 2003"
The workaround for this is to remove a line from Ospfilelist.txt in the
Packaging wizard, then recreate the package.
(Note: reading the article leads one to think that removing the line causes
no prob...
