Migrating Access apps to Microsoft.NET...
Hello!
Hopefully I got the right discussion group here...!
In using the SQL Server Migration Assistant for Access instructions, I have
completed the split Access 2003 database migration to the SQL Server 2005.
Under the 'Preparing Access Databases for Migration' part of these
instructions, it says "After you migrate databases to SQL Server 2005, you
can continue to use Access by usi...

Problem with queries converting from Access to SQL
We have an Access database which keeps getting corrupt. One of the tables have
more than 500 000 entries in it.
I thought of converting to SQL 2000, but the access DB has Select and Update
queries in it, and I can't seem to accomodate it.
Any suggestions.
Thanks.

Migrate Unicode data from MS Access to Oracle
I need to migrate Unicode data from MS Access to Oracle. Have tried the
following:
-Exported the Access tables to csv/txt, but these files were generated
in ANSI encoding, and the Unicode data got converted to ASCII
characters.
-ODBC export directly to the Oracle tables doesn't work either.
-However, when the table is exported to excel, Unicode encoding is
retained.

I inherited a database that contains numerous Macros.
I need to document all these macros and the documentor within Access format

Database using Access 2.0
Our church purchased Church Windows software. When we asked if we could
import our members from our existing database Greentree CDMS they said we
couldn't because CW is an Access 2.0 database and we don't have that
software. What would be the benefit of still using Access 2.0 for software
development?
Thanks,

Should I worry that my Access to SQL conversion has gone so well?
I've been set the task of converting a 20 user Access 2003 database to
SQL server 2000.
The original access version is two databases, a front end and a back
end. The front end uses about 40 forms. Without using the upsizing
wizard, I have simply imported the backend into SQL, made a few changes
to data types, and set a few primary keys etc., and then linked the
front end to the SQL dat...

Access 2003 - Close vs. Nothing
Hi,
Upon conversion to Access 2003, some DAO modules have both recordset close
and set "recordset name" = nothing statements. Since Access 2003,
automatically closes these recordsets upon exiting the program, are these
needed in Access 2003? If so, should the Close or Nothing statement be
used?
Thank you,
Nick
