More Q on Upsizing Wizard
I upsized my Access .MDB file to work with SQL Server 2005 using the Upsizing
Wizard. After doing so, when I pull up the DB in Access, it shows the
original tables with the original spreadsheet-type icon, plus a new set of
tables with an arrow pointing to a globe-like green icon. I assume the globe
iconed tables are the new SQL tables and the spreadsheet ones are the
original unchanged...

Persistent links to SQL tables
To all,
I have an Access mdb application with a SQL backend. The app maintains
links to about 50 SQL tables.
How much of a load on the SQL DB, are the linked tables in Access?
I have created a couple of VBA functions that easily create and destroy
links to the SQL tables as needed, but if the load of the linked tables in

How to convert my MS Back -End Database To MS SQL Server 2K?
I have a newly developed MS Acess 2003 project regarding Employee Management
System. I have splitted the FE and BE. The BE resides on the Network Server
and is working fine. As the company is installing/moving out to to MS SQL

ADP ideosyncrocies
I have a form that is based on a view on SQL server. When I edit the record,
instead of updating the view (which is updatable), the sql script generated
by ADP actually updates the underlying table that makes up the view.
Now the reason I wanted to use view is so that I could isolate security and

I have linked a table from SQL Server 2005 Express to Access 2003 to
make a test.
But when I open the table in Access 2003, all fields display "#Deleted"
This is not happening when I link to an SQL Server 2000 database.
Am I missing somthing (patch or else)?...

Official Status of SQLServer 2005 ADP
I just started reading this group and disapointed to read that it sounds
like ADPs are being hung out to dry.
I was not impressed by this. ADPs would allow someone with a bunch of Access
programming background (like me) to leverage that knowledge to work with a
SQL Server backend, without learning a new environment. If you program in
Access you relize there is no faster way to built ...

Problem: KB904018
I appear to have found a problem with the above critial update when
attempting to execute a dts package from Access, which exports data from a
SQL Server DB to Excel. If this update is installed, it fails.
However, if the same code is called from a different VBA program it works as
expected.

Is it possible to base a report on a temp table created in SQL during the
session?
the temp table name would change each time as it has the SPID(?) added to
the name.

Spanish: Servidor Vinculado y error al acceder desde el ADP
Buenos días:
Tengo un servidor vinculado contra un MDB (Sin seguridad de access ni nada).
Desde el Administrador Corporativo funciona bien, tanto el servidor
vinculado, como la vista que se basa en este servidor Vinculado, etc...

Error trying to copy table
I'm not sure where to post this question, hope someone can help
While working inside of an Access adp I was using the copy and paste feature
to duplicate tables in one of my sql (2000) databases and ran into the
