Hi all
I have the code posted below in the startup routine of my ADP (Access 2000 +
MSDE). When no initial connection is found and the OLE Connection Dialog
comes up, the connection might afterwards be established, but the new
connection property is not saved to the ADP. Thus, when I close and reopen
the ADP, the old connection string is still in there.

update query--two tables!
From what I have found so far, I don't think I'm going to be able to
pull this off, but perhaps someone here can help me out.
The database is a SQL/MSDE database. I'm using an access 2000 project.
(adp).
This is a registration database for a music school. We are forced to
raise our tuition rates starting in February. Charges through June are
already in the database--there are about 4500...

Inserting dates in dd/mm/yyyy format
Hi,
I have a system which uses dd/mm/yyyy date format with AccessXP and SQL
Server 7.
As I've understood by far, the SQL Server always stores dates in mm/dd/yyyy
format, so that in order to insert dates into it, I'm using the following
method. Could you please take a look and see if it's OK?

Running an ade file on server
I know that an ade file should reside on the client machine but today
someone asked me why it can't run on the server. I didn't have a very
good answer. Can anyone tell me why it is not good idea to run an ade
file on the server?

Problem using SP as record source with Access2002 & SQL Server 7
Hi,
I have a an Access2002 project working with SQL Server 7 (MDAC 2.7).
In that project I have a continuous form, in which I use a simple SELECT SP
as the record source.
1. The problem is that each time I add a new record by typing at the form's
last empty record (the one reserved for adding new records), just as I
finish the typing and the record is added to the DB, I get error #210...

Design table window closes after a split second
I'm currently working on my first Access Project using Access 2000.
(I've done a fair amount with Access before, but not Access Projects).
I seem to have connected to the SQL Server database fine (it's on a
remote web site). However, when I try to use "Design" or "New" to
create a Table, the Table window opens up (empty) for a split second
then immediately closes. I don't get any error ...

Slow form when typing first character of new record?
Hello. I've built an ADP using Access 2002 SP3 and MSDE 2000 SP4. I
have a main form with 32 separate fields, 8 option groups (3 radio
buttons each), 16 checkboxes, and 6 subforms.
When I go into Add mode and type in the very first character of a new
record, the hourglass appears and "Calculating" appears on the bottom
left of the status bar for about 4 seconds, then I can continue
enter...

ADP code hangs while running the same query in query analyser works
I have got an updateable snapshot based on a view. When close the form, it
automatically sends out the following script to update the underlying table.

CHECKDB finds consistency errors in table 'sysdepends'
I've tried to follow any kind of tips for the solution og this problem, but
I cannot use the repair tools because of the system table "sysdepends".
What can I do? The regular integrity check, database and transaction log
backups fail every single day!
The error, according to CHECKDB is:

Want to Display a Datasheet Based on Adhoc Query (SQL)
I am trying to build a user interface (form) that will allow a user to view a
datasheet based on a SQL code entered (Select, Union, Exec Stored Procedure
etc.) in an .adp.
In an .mdb this can be done by creating a passthrough query that is saved,
and then run using "DoCmd.OpenQuery queryname".
In an .adp, the commands "DoCmd.OpenStoredProcedure spname" and
"DoCmd.OpenView" exist, ...
