I'm looking for a program called "infinite teacher" any ideas?
I want to see my son's homework assignments. The teachers use this program,
on their desktops at school to keep track of the absentee/present count,
etc..... Most of them post homework assignments on this program. I was
wondering if anyone knew how I could get it and how much it would cost?

Queckbox to text
I need to have a check box on my form [it's a questionnaire]. The underlying
data field, however, is a text field [for a certain reason]. What I'm looking
for is a way to write a value into the database of yes or no [can be changed
to true/false, -1/0] depending on the state of the check box.
Is there a[n easy] way to do that? Maybe something along the lines of "if
checkbox = true then...

Can I reset an auto number in an access table
Is there a way to reset an auto number in access tables with out changing the
number for existing records? I have an auto number starting at 260001; as of
January 1, 2007 I want the numbering sequence to start at 270001 however I
don't want the numbers for previous records to be modified. Is this possible
using the field format of auto number?...

ODBC--call failed
I have a query that when run through a report gives me a ODBC--call failed
error. There is no other information and I know for fact that the connection
is still there. When I run the query from the query tab it runs fine. I
have another query that prompts for a location and it also fails. If you

combine output from two child tables in a report
Hi guys,
Here is my scenario. I have three tables: Cabinets, Doors, Drawers.
Cabinets table is a parent of both Doors and Drawers. All three tables
contain cabinetID which is a primary key in Cabinets and foreign key in
Doors and Drawers.
Each cabinet can have 0 or more Doors and 0 or more Drawers.

Window border is set to dialog.
WindowHeight and WindowWidth properties are read-only.

Select only the last 10 occurance in a query
In a query I need to show only the last 10 of a selected field.
The field has different component No:
Some components will have only 5 occurrences others will have 20.
I only want to see the last 10 (or less if less component No:s have been
made)
Any advise please.

Combo Boxes
I have a combo box to lookup a table. The table has three columns including
the key. This box is used more than once to select values on the same form.
For example the types of taxes and corresponding rates applicable for a
transaction. How can I store all columns pertaining to a selection, rather
than just the key-field value?

Data Access Page and Phone Numbers
I created a data access page, so that employees can input data at the same
time. The problem I have is that when you bring up the page, it shows the

Stopping Access 2003 Navigator buttons from creating new record
I have a form with a subform. The main form allows the user to select
an entity and then the details of that entity are presented in the
subform. I don't want to create my own navigator buttons because Access
provides them, so I am wondering if there's a way to disable the
"Create new Record" on that subform because the user cannot change

I can't open DB. Jet DBE stopped process... Error 3197
I closed my DB in the normal, usual way. When I tried to open it again I
receive message: "The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process
because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the

access 97 runtime spell checker..
We have an application using access 97 runtime.
We just notice that one option of our application, spell check, does not work.
Some computers doesn't have access installed, and others have access
installed, but still run that application with /runtime option.
The computers that have installed option can use the spell check, and the
computers with no access installed, only the /runtime can't...

Distributing Fields in a report

Upgrade Issues
I hope this is the right place. I have Just upgraded a number of users
from Access XP to Access 2003 and some of them are experiancing issues
