Sick and tired of opening and then re-sizing. How do I get Access to
remember the last size and position each time? Careful of response, more of
a user than a programmer. THX in anticipation......

Bookmark a continuous form
I've tried looking at other posts on this but actually think they are more
complicated than I require as most are using subforms.
I have a continuous form and against each record is an edit button which
opens a single form for the prupose of editing. This form is opened in
dialog and the main form requeries when I close the dialog form.
However I want to bookmark the record in the ori...

does not seem to find the program. I am sure it is a configuration/setting
issue but I have tried everything I can.

Totals from 3 queries in one report
I have very basic Access abilities -- and unfortunately do not use it
regularly.
I created three queries because I wanted to total each query using different
selection criteria.
After struggling with not so nested ifs and recalcitrant parameters, I have
each of the three queries producing several different column totals based on
the criteria specific to that query. [e.g., one quer...

for loop question
In the following code I want for 'x' to be read as a variable (change
dynamically) in the sql statements, but it reads it as a character.
by the time the loop runs for the second it tells me that table x has
already been created.
I want for 'x' inside the sql statement to incremently change by 1
every time the loop runs. the FOR loop syntax is o.k., but maybe the
reason why it doesn't wo...

ACCESS Scrambling
We have an access 97 database that someone was working on when we had a power
outage. When she opened it back up, the data in each record had been sorted
wrong. An example is The address from record one was in record 2. How can
this be fixed. I have always trusted access over excel more because of
sorting problems. Now I am not so sure. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks...

Convert Access to SQL Server, but keep Access front end?
I have been given an old Access application where the Access is not
only the database, but the front end as well.
There are forms, reports, and several buttons simply display the raw
tables, in what appears to be Access's native data table display.
I was asked to move the data into SQL Server, but keep the front end in
Access for now.
I know if this were an app using ADO, I could go in a...

is there something we should be changing in every database? I'm not sure we

Text in continuous subform
Hello,
I have this continuous subform with a few records. I need a label frame next
to some of the records to provide an explanation. Is there any way to do that?
I suspect that due to the nature of continuous forms there isn't, so I was
thinking about changing the form to a single form. I'd have to tell each of
my then multiple text boxes which record to show, ie. text box 1 is to show...

Data Access Pages & Subforms
I am trying to create a data access page from a previously created form. I
am doing this by using the Save As option. The data access page saves, but
when I open it the subforms within my form are gone. Can a data access page
support subforms? If so, do I first need to save each of my subforms as data
access pages and drag and drop them into data access page of my new form?...
