Automate Linking Table Manager

Summing a calculated field and evaluating it before report is shown?
I know that you cannot sum a calculated field in a query, and you can
do so on a report, but can you evaluate the report field to decide
which records are included?
I have a field that is counted in a query and it needs to be evaluated
at before the report is created. Only the records belonging to a person

Compile error? Help!
I'm stumbling my way around trying to automate email from a database. I
cribbed the code below from an example DB I downloaded. The code works
perfectly in the original DB but the exact same code gives me a Compile

New Record not pulling through?

In a query I need to show only the last 10 of each component No in a

Components have occurrences from 1 upwards.

Converting from Access 97 to 2k3

Numbered Text appearing in Scientific Notation
I tried importing an excel file. One of the fields is a product number
(alphanumeric) which can be all numbers or combination of letters and
numbers. I've defined it in Excel as text and made sure that all the data

Making many rows in one table out of one row from another table

I have set up avery simple database (instrumental pupil list - includes
what instrument they play , when they started etc..) Can I create a
page that will return general stats? like how many kids in the database
/ how many at each school.
A query returning say, each instrument is easy - but just the numbers

Inbed data into the message of an email
I have a form with a text box that uses visual basic to create a new email
message.
Is it possible to extract information from a query and a table and have it
appear in the message section of the email in text format that can then be
editied.
I realise I could attach a report but I want to avoid attachments as the
data is relatively short.

Bad character in a database field - finding and eliminating
Hi,
I have a table with a character showing up occasionally in one of the
fields. It shows in the table view as a little square (tab maybe?). I'd
like to be able to find it and delete from each record in my table.
By the way, the field is an Address field. For example:

I need small help..
I have cmdButton with caption like 'Hide form'
so when user clicks on the button it hides the subform and button
becomes sunken...
I want to change the caption to 'display form'.. and when he clicks on
'display form' the caption would become 'hide form' and form would

Access 2000 and SQL Server 2005?
We currently are using mostly Access 2000 as our frontend to our SQL 2000
servers via .adp's and are looking to go to SQL 2005 but want to wait until
Access 2007 to upgrade our Access. I was able to change the Access 2000 .adp
connection to an sql 2005 database but can't go into design view of tables or

Form Header
I created a form in design view and added a page and form header and page
header. I can view the headers in design view but when I go into form view
the headers are not showing. I go back in design view and they are there. The
headers on the view menu are checked.
Could anyone tell me what the problem is? I am using Access 2003.
