How do I link a folder to a cell in an Excel spreadsheet Hyperlink from Excel Cell to Folder 08.12.2005 18:31:02 i have tried to hyperlink from a cell in an Excel spreadsheet to a folder in a different directory. It works until I save and close the spreadsheet. When I reopen the speadsheet the link comes up as invalid. Help.

Excel tries to "UPDATE" the links when you save a file and "corrupts" the link. To fix this you can turn auto link updating off. DATA>OPTIONS>GENERAL click on web options button. Under the tab named FILES deselect "update links on save". This worked well for me but I wish microsoft would fix the problem.
