Q about VS tools for office edition
Sean 17.12.2005 01:46:49
I am unclear, is VS 2005 tools for office a stand alone product or is it an
add on purchase to one of the standard/pro versions?

If its a stand alone then does that mean VS 2005 for office cant create
ASP.NET projects?

Thanks

It's both, I believe. In some Visual Studio configurations it's included,
otherwise you need to purchase it separately.

No. VSTO means you can link managed code assemblies with specific Office
documents. You can also create Outlook Addins (that would be COM dlls that
draw their functionality from managed code) with it. VSTO has nothing to do
with ASP.NET.
