Programming Word's ActionsPane using a COM Addin
"tomjohns" <tom-aasmul.johnsen[ at ]vital.no> 28.10.2005 07:01:39
Hi,

I am working on a C# COM Addin (.dll) using Visual Studio 2005 Beta.
The Addin is meant to be run in our companys Office applications during
startup of each Office application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc). It
will set up a customized Office environment.

During this I meet problems with programming against Word's
ActionsPane. I cannot reach the object (as far as I can see). I have
seen that I can do it using VSTO, but this is not an issue since it is
a *.dll and not a *.dot or *.xlt i am developing. I have tried to use
the same references as with a VSTO
projects(Microsoft.Office.Tools.Word, Microsoft.Office.Tools.Common,
etc).

Am I missing something here? Isn't it possible to reach the ActionsPane
not using VSTO?
