I have Office 2003 installed on a fully patched Windows XP computer. The suite was installed with the "Run all from my computer" option.
I installed the Office 2003 SP2, and then a couple days later installed MSXML 3.0 SP7. When launching Access it acts like it has to install itself. After the Windows Installer finishes whatever it's installing, Access starts up just fine.
There's nothing in the EventViewer showing an error or anything. It shows that Access was installed successfully. I uninstalled Access and reinstalled it, and received the same activity. I uninstalled the whole Office Suite, reinstalled it using the "Run all from my computer", patched it, launched Access, and received the same activity.
Made sure that the MSXML 3.0 SP7 was installed successfully, and it was.
Can't find a darn thing about how to uninstall MSXML 3.0 SP7.
Any ideas on how in the heck I can get Access to stop going through it's installation everytime I try to launch it?
I wasn't quite sure where to post this. If you have a suggestion where I can post this to get some ideas, it would be greatly appreciated! -- Lesa
