How can I automatically back up the database
"jeep2001 via AccessMonster.com" <u20725[ at ]uwe> 06.09.2006 15:23:58
I have a few nightly routines that update the database....What I want to do,
is have a process make a copy of the database BEFORE the nightly routines
begin.....incase there is something very wrong.
Can some one shed some light here? Thanks

This is not a replication question.

You might look at Allen Browne's website. He has code there to copy
tables to a backup database. However, it can't handle a locked
table.

Also, FMS Inc.'s Total Visual Studio Agent can do this, but it costs
about $300. I do use it at one of my clients because it's the
easiest way to make sure a bunch of MDBs are backed up and compacted
overnight.
