Would you implement a replicated database in this environment??

Would you implement a replicated Access database in this environment?

I have a nonprofit client who would like to collect data on new clients
and update data on existing clients via a laptop vs. the current paper
method. They would plan to use 2-3 laptops with replicated database on
each laptop. Only a single central office with the main copy of the
replicated database. Of course the database would be divided into front
end and back end and only the back end would be replicated. Maybe a
small replication farm to ensure that the central database is self healing.

The real issue of concern is that they have no on site computer support.
The folks there are not very computer savvy - no power PC user at the
site. Would I be crazy to implement a replicated database as described
above in this location?

Thanks for your input

Bob

It depends. If you're using only direct replication, I would say no
problem. If you're contemplating indirect (which it sounds like,
given the mention of a replica farm), then I'd say not so much,
unless you have remote desktop access available.
