Converting back end to Replica slows front end form load times

Hi All,

After converting the back end of a split database to a replicated set, the
data entry forms in the front end take 20+ seconds to load.

Back end is around 120MB.

Back end and front end are located in the same folder on my C drive.
Synchronizer is not running during my tests.

Linking the front end tables to a copy of the unreplicated back end in the
same folder gives fast (less than 1 second) form load times. As soon as I
link the tables to the replicated copy, the load times are abysmal.

Any ideas why this might be?

Thanks,

Mark

Never mind..

I had my DVD drive shared. Apparently if you share any local drive at root
level it can cause slow load times when working with replicated databases.

Cheers,

Mark
