Spell Check greyed out
"Tom" <tom[ at ]nospam.co.uk> 12.08.2006 11:37:46
Hi

Have installed Office 2003 onto pc. When I go to the tools menu there is no
option for Spelling & Grammar, if I go to tools options the spelling/grammar
tab is greyed out.

How can I get the spellchecker active

TIA

Tom

From the sound of it, none of the Proofing Tools were installed. You can change
the "setup" via Control Panel/Add remove programs. Specify you want to
add/remove features, then that you want to do an advanced customization.

You'll get into a "tree" of applications. Under "Office Shared features" you'll
find the Proofing tools. Make sure the tools for the language(s) you want to
use are set to "Run on my computer". Then "Update".
