Why no PDF import

I just wonder why Microsoft does not support the feature to insert a PDF
graphic into Word, there should not be any legal problem. For the new Word
2007 they supply a PDF generator, but nobody really missed that feature,
because there was the Acrobat Distiller and clones like Jaws PDF Creator.

Isn't there a chance, that a third party import filter would be available
some times?

Probably because PDF isn't a graphics file format.

Have you tried Insert>Object>Create from File, select your PDF?
