lost files of Excel ACyahoo 16.09.2006 02:29:01 Repaired windows and lost all 5 yrs excell 2000 files. I had found all the old files , went in safe mode and made them assaciable to the new ADMIN. and than I did a dump thing, deleted the old user accont from the user profiles. and now all files were lost. I had saved the data before deleting the user. But at the end, found it was only short cuts it saved not the original files. I bought a recovery data software, it found some files not the one I really needed. some files I found it has achanged name like(owner2.wab~)Owner2 was the origanl user i deleted. when I open this with excel it has alot of unknown charactors. please HELP HELP< It was 5 yr work all i need is excell files.
