LINENUM formatting
txtechwriter1 20.09.2006 19:00:02
I've given up on trying to make the numbering work and decided to try the
LINENUM field code. However, I can't figure out (or find in Help) a way to
format the numbers. They mimic the font of the style, but I need to color
them and make them bold.
Thanks!

I'm not aware of such a field code (FWIW!). Can you elaborate a bit?

If you instructed Word to use line numbers through File | Page Setup |
Layout | Line Numbers, then (as with most stuff in Word) there is a
style called "Line Number" in your document now. This character style
can be change to any font you like.

If necessary, tell us your version of Word and we tell you how.

OTOH, if you tell us a bit more on what numbering you want to achieve,
we might also give you instructions on how to achieve that with list
numbering (preferably, through styles :-)).

Thanks, but I goofed. I meant LISTNUM, so I posted my question again and got
an answer (and an insult).
