Does your database file end in .mde instead of .mdb?

There went my first good idea. Try moving the database file to another
computer will Access on it. If you can get it to work there, then the problem
is with your computer's install of Office or Access. If it's still acting up
at the other computer, then it could be a corrupt database file.

I did try to open it on a different computer since this database is on a
shared drive & still showing the same error message. I also have Office 2003
re installed in my PC but yes it does give me the same error message. You
think it's a corrupted database? What's your suggestion to correct it? Thanks

As you have the same error on two different machines plus reinstalled Office,
corruption is most likely.

Tony Toews has an excellent web page on database corruption.
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm

Allen Brown also has excellent info on corruption.

I have a white paper in a Word document named Fix Corrupt Access Database
towards the bottom this page:
