Am I allowed to install Office Professional Upgrade on my laptop as well as
my PC?
The laptop came with a trial.

I think you are allowed to do this (see 1.1 b), for your exclusive use, but
you should carefully read the EULA (End User License Agreement) that comes
with your upgrade. I found the following information in my copy of the EULA
for Access 2003, which may or may not be the same as your copy of the EULA:

1. GRANT OF LICENSE. Microsoft grants you the following rights provided
that you comply with all terms and conditions of this EULA:
1.1 Installation and use. You may:
(a) install and use a copy of the Software on one personal computer or
other device; and
(b) install an additional copy of the Software on a second, portable device
for the exclusive use of the primary user of the first copy of the Software.

AND

9. UPGRADES. To use Software identified as an upgrade, you must first be
licensed for the software identified by Microsoft as eligible for the
upgrade. After installing the upgrade, you may no longer use the original
software that formed the basis for your upgrade eligibility, except as part
of the upgraded software.

It probably depends on the license you have for Office Pro on your
"main" computer. If that license states you are allowed to install it
on a second, portable device (as many do), then you are allowed to
install the upgrade on the laptop also. On installation, it may ask
you to insert your original Office Pro CD to verify your eligibility.

Having the trial version of Office on the laptop would not qualify
you...
