How to configure Word 2003 to use Quicktime and LZW for pictures?
Ambidextrous 31.08.2006 20:11:02
I received some Word files from a Mac user that contains images, but some of
the images will not display. The message "QuickTime and a TIFF (LZW)
compressor are needed to see this picture". I have the latest version of
QuickTime. I set it to be the default viewer for TIFF format and still
nothing.

Unfortunately it's sort of a bogus message as far as the Windows side is concerned, i.e. the PICT filter for Word on the Windows
side can't resolve the issue. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/192091/en-us?FR=1

I was afraid that might be the answer. Maybe that's why I was looking in all
the wrong places? Many thanks Bob, for the definitive link!
