Sorry for your experience.
If you are looking for the send-from-browser feature, OneNote 2007 has one. There is a Send to OneNote button (OneNote icon with a blue arrow) on the toolbar that sends your selection or the whole page if you don't have a selection. If you are using IE 7, you can find the button by clicking on the double arrow to the right hand side of the Tools button.
