Incomplete Note Flag Summary
FIB 14.08.2006 13:41:03
I'm using the beta of ON 2007. After running the Note Flag Summary not all
of the assigned flags are displayed. I use a flag named "Waiting for" fairly
often yet it doesn't display in the summary after running it.

Thoughts on how to correct this?

Thank!

Did you install WDS3?
Did you leave OneNote open one entire night?
Does search work?
Note flags summary relies on WDS3, so it might be that your search is
not working fully.

Your best bet is probably to hold out till the next beta release (no
idea when that will be), as search in WDS3 right now is very flaky.

What's the scope of the search? Are you searching in all of the Notebooks?

Yes, I'm searching all of the Notebooks.

If I remember correctly downloading and installing WDS3 was either a
requirement or recommendation before getting the beta of ON2007. My
recollection is that I did so.

Search does work. I've left it on overnight though I have the power
settings on my PC to suspend things after a couple of hours.

I am having the same problem. Scope of search spans 4 note books and a total
of 30 pages, with like 8 pages per note book. It takes much toooo long to do
a note flag summary.

I dont even have the option under tools, options, other to enable or click
on the instant search button. ? Why is that.

I just d/l the newest version of Desktop search like 30 min ago and its
still indexing.

I really need to be able to access info in onenote Fast.

ANy help.
Thanks

am very upset and having problems using search functions with onenote beta 2
and WDS. First, when i search inside the onenote program it never finds the
words i have typed. I have marked off to check all note books.

If i go to the page the word in located it will then find it.

THe hourglass that indicated its looking has stoped so why isnt it finding
my terms.

Second, it will not find all my flags when i click on note flags summary. I
have customized many of them but they are all the same throught all my
notebooks.

I really need this to work so when I have to search for a legal term of what
a client said the ability to find it.

Under tools options the Install instant search option is grayed out and I
can click on it.

help please.

I see that you are upset, Walter :-(
Still: could you pls calm down a bit and concentrate on posting on
this problem in just *one* thread without repeating the complaint in
numerous others?

Thanks in advance

Rainald
