Office 2007 Beta Installation Issue
Jack Barrett 29.09.2006 21:46:02
I have tried several times to install Office 2007 Beta.
Tried to upgrade.....no luck. I get 2 minutes into the installation and it
tells me that " Error has Occurred and will have to end installation".
I tried custom install .....and still I get the same "Error" during
installation.
Anyone have this issue?
Everything else that I have installed works just fine.
Any suggestions or input is greatly appreciated.

Frustrated Beta User Jack

I checked the security settings in the file and it states that it "may have
been blocked after being downloaded from another computer".
I hit allow and then apply......tried to installation again and still NO luck!
What the hell is going on?????
I am using Office 2003/XP Pro SP2 with all the updates thru 9/29/06.

Thanks again.

I don't know where you're checking security settings or exactly what you're
doing when you "hit allow and then apply," but you might try disabling your
antivirus product before attempting to install Office 2007.

I shut down my anti virus and still no luck. =(
Tried downloading another beta file from the web site hoping that maybe the
original file was corrupt...and still not installing.

Can I install Office 2007 Beta in safe mode?

Thanks.

Dying to try Office Beta.

Are you trying to install Beta 2 or Beta 2 Technical Refresh?

Beta 2 Technical Refresh is a patch. You have to have plain ol' Beta 2
installed before installing Beta 2 Technical Refresh.
