Merge a Report to Word
Citybird 18.08.2006 11:39:01
Is it possible to keep the formatting of a report when merging it to word...
or is it possible to extract reports any other way in order to e-mail them to
clients?

Many thanks

you could print your report to a .pdf file, and email that file to your
clients.

I dont believe there is a way to keep the formating in word, but you could
export to a PDF instead.

Many thanks...did a little more investigation after your reply and have now
noticed that file can be saved as a snapshot with the formatting intact.

yes, you can save a report to a snapshot file, but the person you send it to
must have Microsoft's SnapshotViewer program installed on their computer, to
open it. if that's an issue for your recipients, PDF might be a better
choice since Acrobat Reader is much more widely recognized and used, and
available for free download all over the web.
