Formatting chart legends in PowerPoint
sfox 06.09.2006 02:51:02
How can I make the text wrap in a chart legend in PowerPoint? Some of the
legend labels in the chart I am working on are long and they cut off at the
margin instead of 'wrapping' the text to another line. Any ideas?

Just to be sure we are on the same page, did you enter the text of the
legend in the data sheet of the graph for Powerpoint? Also, which
version are you using?
My reason for asking is that PPT2003 allows for the text to preform as
a wrap around label. If other generations are not permitting then
selecting the legend, resizing it, or reducing the fonts may be the
answer.

Usually the cutoff can be corrected by dragging the bottom edge of the
legend to increase the height -- so the wrapped text has room to display.
