Team Explorer and Excel Printing Problem
"Tatsuya Fujii" <tatzfujii[ at ]hotmail.com> 20.09.2006 17:13:47
I have recently installed VS 2005 Team Foundation Server Team Explorer, and
the print function of Excel seems to have stopped working properly.
Either several blocks of rows will simply not print, or several blocks of
rows at the beginning seem to repeat (but the blocks towards the end still
does not print).
I have tried the print button, the Ctrl+P short cut, File->Print, as well as
printing from the print preview.
I have also tried printing out with and without a print area selection, but
none of these actions have made any difference.

Does someone know how to fix this problem?

When you un-install the Team Explorer does the printing in Excel go back to
standard operating functionality?

If so, the installation of Team Explorert would be a good place to start
trouble-shooting the problem.

Many thanks.

When I uninstall the Team Explorer, it resolves this problem.

Installation set-up of the Team Exploer doesn't give you much option:
accepting terms of license agreement; destination folder; and the
confirmation of what will be installed (MS VS 2005 Team Explorer and MS
Office System 2003 Primary Interop Assembles). I cannot change what will be
installed at the confirmation stage, so I'm not quite sure what I can do.

I was wondering if this was a known bug or if the setting of the TFS need to
be changed? If it is a known bug, is there a HotFix for it...?

Do not have VS installed so cannot help.

Maybe try the VS news groups.

Here is a list with links to all MS groups served by msnews.microsoft.com
