i have created a data access page and have made the file go live onto
everyone in the companies favourites.
it seems to work fine on most of the machines but i have found that on some
it pops up saying 'data provider cannot be initialised' and then something
about Microsoft Jet Database Engine cannot open the file- it is already
opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to acces it.
i have checked all the permissions and they seem ok.
Can anyone help - I am using XP.

i had this problem also !
it had something to do with the security settings in Internet Explorer.
if you go into Options , then security and you have to include your
access page in the trusted sites for each PC.
