How do I lock borders in a table in Word? Deb 26.08.2006 14:42:02 I want to create a table in Word and type without the grid lines and borders moving to make my lessons plans for school. My headings and cells move as I type.

To do that, from the Tables menu, select Properties and then click on Options on the Table tab of the Table Properties dialog and uncheck the box against "Automatically resize to fit contents" -- Hope this helps.
