What you need is called a 'non-breaking hyphen' - go to Insert>Symbol, click the Special Characters tab & you'll find it listed there along with its keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+_). If you have many of these to change you can use Find & Replace - In that dialog type a - in the Find what: field then click in the Replace with : field but don't type anything. Instead click the More button (if necessary), then click the Special button & select Nonbreaking Hyphen. Replace one at a time unless you are *absolutely* sure that there are no hyphens that shouldn't be replaced.
