formatting challenge
"seanab[ at ]gmail.com" <seanab[ at ]gmail.com> 24.08.2006 23:11:18
I'm having real trouble trying to get my outline text to wrap neatly at
ALL outline levels.

I'm using MS Office for Mac

By adjust tabs in the top of the doc, I can get items at Level 2 of my
outline to indent and wrap neatly (i.e. every line starts at the same
point on the page, even when the text wraps to a second, third or
fourth line).

However, I can't make ALL of my outline levels wrap neatly.

AND, to add insult to injury, I can't seem to locate the formatting
paintbrush in any of my menus.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You need to set up outline numbering properly; see

MacWord 2004 Help tells me there is a Format Painter on the Standard
Toolbar, with a paintbrush on the icon, and indeed there is. There might
also be one on the View | Formatting Palette, not sure. Which version are
you using?

There are Mac Office newsgroups also, if Mac-specific problems come up
(numbering is not one, I just mention it for future reference)

See here for Google/Entourage gateway to newsgroups for MacWord, MacExcel,
and other MS programs for the Mac:
