Need for FAQ
Peter the grate 20.08.2006 01:36:01
On viewing these "community discussions" it is obvious that the same
questions keep popping-up again and again. Presumably these are areas where
the Microsft documentation is obscure, or missing, or where there are
particularly difficult parts in the overall learning-curve. **
Many of the questions are anwered by "resident stars" who regularly point
the questioner to their own website where a seires of "How to's" have been
compiled. Thsse are generally of very good quality and together would make
an excellent FAQ.
Can I suggest that this community site be modified to add an FAQ section
that either redirects to these privately compiled "how to's" or republishes
them. This may reduce the number of questions being asked, but would
certainly provide an incredibly useful resource to fill-in the gaps.

Peter

** Not that I think that Microsoft has done a poor job of documenting, it's
rather that Access is a very complex system with a correspondingly large
learning curve, and it is very difficult to explain every detail well enough
for every user.
