Okay, so I assumed it was a bug. I called the number listed on http://support.microsoft.com/gp/contactbug. I was asked to pay $83 to open a case number. I was transferred to a Microsoft Office specialist who later transferred me to an Excel specialist. After talking to the Excel specialist, I was told this is a "LIMITATION" of the product and he would raise this issue for the research team and to professional level to look into it.
I'm speechless.....
