MsInet FTP stopped functioning after new network-server install
Cornelis 04.08.2006 13:53:02
My Access / VBA application, uses the msinet control.
It always worked fine to put file to the internet.

Now that the network-server has been renewed (windows 2000 to windows server
2003) this application, running on the client, 'hangs' while triying to put
files to the internet.

Other FTP applications on this client do function, but only whet set to
"passive mode".

Does anybody know how to solve this ?

I've seen this in similar application when I'm running windows firewall.
Can you ftp from the command prompt?

Amy,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I could make contact to the FTP-server on the internet trough the
FTP.exe program at the command prompt.
However I don't remember wether it was actually possible to post a file
using FTP.exe.

I would have to travel there to check, because everyone present at the
location is a computer dummy.

As soon as i know the answer, i'll let you know.
