Word Form VBA Stripped after sent by Outlook 2003
Pete T 28.07.2006 15:23:02
I have a Word Form which is used by many staff members in our office. It has
Routing code in a macro to send oneafteranother to first their Supervisor,
and then the Ops Coordinator.

A few of the staff when they send their form (using a Submit Button after
fillling in the form) , when it arrives at the Supervisor , their Approval
Buttons, do not work. Normally the supervise will make a note on the form
and if approve, click a approved button, which sends the form forward to the
Ops Coordinator.

It has happened to several of the supervisors always only a few of their
staff. When I look at the form that has arrived at their PCvia Outlook, their
is no code. It has been stripped, However. If they attempt to close the
errant form, a pop-up says do tyou want to forward to xxxxx (ops Coord name).
You say yes and the process goes forward as normal.

The Ops Cordinator has no problems on any form she receives, once approved
the button she clicks updates our Database and then prints the form, so the
code does show up at the Ops Coordinator.

I was thinking it was a problem with a supervisors setting, but it happens
to all the supervisors (6). So it has to be a setting at the senders level??
Right. I have looked at the setting on Word & Outlook without finding any
problems.

Our office upgraded , office wide several months ago, from Windows 2000 &
Office 97 to Window XP & Office 2003. A the settings should be standard for
all staff. Does anyone know of any hidden settings or reasons this happens
to a select few?

Thanks, sorry about the rambling message trying to explain the process.

Sounds like macro security set to high without a lot of prethought. Try
setting to medium and see what happens.
