Sync Local DB across multiple locations over web

What would be the best method of syncing a database, that is stored locally
on three computers, that are not connected by a network, but by the Internet
only.

This depends on your concrete needs, but using a VPN and Access
replication should do it.

Hhmm, there is no VPN. Any other methods? Could I use XML on a website as the
datasource for the Access database?

Or could I post the mdb on a website and let that be the shared datasource

Yes, but you have to implement the up-/download yourself.

I'll elaborate a bit. You can't share an Access database from a web
site, because you need to connect directly to a \\server\share location.
This is what a VPN would allow you to do. But, Access communicates far
too much over the network connection for this to work effectively
anyway.

You could also have remote users all connect to a Terminal Server host
running Access and your application. Search the web for "windows
terminal server hosting". I've heard from others that this can work
well.

Hmm, VPN is not really an option for me, neither is Terminal Services (I
admin TS).
