I have a Spanish speaking client and when this person emails me it is in English. However, when I try to reply to the email it appears as if my spell check is now checking for Spanish because every word I type is recognized as an incorrect spelling. Is there a way for me to switch this back to my typical spell check without creating a new email message?
Thanks.

Hi, I'm having a similar problem with the spell check, a customer has his outlook in spanish and everytime he tries to reply or forward an email, the default language is set to english, even though the automatically detect is unchecked. This only happens when he replies or forwards, when he creates an email, the language is ok. Checking on my outlook that is in english, I have the same problem when I reply and email the languaje is set to english, also in the spelling tab of the outlook option the spanish language is selected. Any ideas on why this happens and is there a solution for it? Thanks

Hi, When you reply or forward a message your speller detects the language of the Outlook of the sender who created it, even though the typing was English. To spellcheck the correct language for reply or forwarding of a message you received from a sender with a different language set, do as above. After opening the message for reply, change to the correct language and uncheck "Detect Language automatically". -- DAVE

Ok, already the spell check is uncheck, but it still changes the language back to english on a new reply or FW even though I selected spanish as the default one.
Also I´m having an error about the ortographic check when I click on send (but that happens only when I select the check that says to check spelling before sending email, and the use word editor is unchecked)
So, I cannot use any other editor than the word editor, and that editor is not working correctly when I reply or FW a message becuase it keeps changing the default language back to english, even though I set the default to spanish, and the automatically detect language is unchecked. Please advise, my client is very upset with this issue. Thanks!

Hi Eduardo, As this is a very old post, (no one is looking back so far) I suggest that you open a new one for your question so that other participants also can have a look at it. Post you problem with all the information of what you tried so far and do not forget to mention the version of your Outlook. Good luck, Rgrds, -- DAVE
