MS Access Link Tables using ODBC stopped working
"Love To Program" <dmorris[ at ]beyondappraisal.com> 27.07.2006 20:45:59
The problem is with Norton 2006 Anti virus and the new Norton AntiVirus
Plug-in. It blocks the ability to bring up the ODBC window in Access.
You will need to turn off the plug-in. I pasted the details below.

Turning on and turning off the Norton AntiVirus plug-in for Microsoft

This document describes how to turn on (enable) or turn off (disable)
the Norton AntiVirus plug-in for Microsoft Office.

SystemWorks, then start that program.

In the right pane, under "How to keep Microsoft Office documents
protected," check Enable Office plug-in.
Click OK

To disable the plug-in for Office 2000 or Office XP
