How do I get rid of bad Office 2000 installation?
LyricalMigraine 30.07.2006 07:37:01
I am trying to reinstall Office 2000 on a machine running Windows 98SE. I
deleted the existing version of Office 2000, and while trying to reinstall
Office (Word 2000 has been giving me problems like no other, freezing up when
opening documents AS WELL AS freezing up when closing out the application)
another program caused an error. I didn't think much of it...until I
restarted the computer and got a message saying the Windows Installer had a
problem with setup (not those exact words, but similar). Also, a message
would pop up saying continue setup with original user, which I did, to no
avail. Recently I ran a virus scan, spyware scan, deleted all Office related
material in the registry, and I still receive a message saying the previous
installation must be finished. Any help???
