installing Office 2003
colinlam 26.07.2006 13:39:03
Hi, when I click on certain office application icons on the installation disk
I get the following error:
"The installation source for this product is not
available. Verify that the source is exists and that you can access it."

I have used this disk many times with no problems, any ideas why I am
suddley getting this error.

Hi, colinlam,

Have you recently applied any updates?

Have you tried repairing / reinstalling the suite? I'd try running setup to
repair your installation. Ensure you are logged in as an account with full
permissions (administrator).

Hi, in the end I used the Windows Installer Cleanup tool on each application.

Clicking on the icons on the installation disk then started the installation
process and I reinstalled each application.

I then installed all updates and checked whether the installation disk was
still working which it was.

What the initial cause of the fault was I have no idea except that I have
used ccleaner and another registry cleaner and maybe I had damaged the
registry.

Thanks for your comments, any others would be welcome.
