Trying to open database in 2007 beta
BHoffmann 27.07.2006 01:56:01
I work for a large company - they provided me with a access database tool
that is used to link me to the many other tools that I use on a daily basis.
For the most part - all of my other programs and files work great after
downloading the beta version of Office 2007 however I am having problems with
this access file. I have both the .ldb and .mde files (I used the .ldb to
extract the .mde database). When I say I am a novice I am putting it
lightly. When I try to open the file - noting happens - Access opens but the
file or database does not. I don't get any error message or no further
direction.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Brent

Not sure what you mean by using the .ldb to extract the mde. A .ldb is a
lock file. Try deleting the lock file.

From http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=ldb

A lock file is used to keep muti-user databases from being
changed in the same place by two people at the same time resulting in data
corruption.
