Misspelled Form Name
"Mommio2" <mommio2[ at ]insightbb.com> 28.07.2006 01:36:47
OK, I admit that I did a really dumb thing! I realized after my
project was almost done that I had used bad naming conventions, so I went
through and renamed my form, table, and all references to the form in my
macros. Now, every time I open something I get the "misspelled form name"
error message. Is there an easy way to find my mistake? I have looked and
looked and don't see it. Boy, I'll never do that again! Thanks!

Here is a site where you can get a pretty good search and replace utility. I
used it for excactlty the same situation recently. I needed to change the
name to get a form, several reports, and a bunch of queries changed. This
did the trick

Hey, thanks a million, Klatuu! I actually fooled around and found
another way to do it, too. I ran the documenter under analyze and saved it
as a text file. Then I went in and did a find on part of the name. It
turned up. Can't wait to try your link. I really appreciate your help!

How's Gort? (one of my favorite movies ever!)

Gort is in Anger Management therapy. That Death Ray thing was really getting
out of hand.

<chortle>

Reminds me of the old (1930's??) New Yorker cartoon. Two guys in a
Manhatten skyscraper office, with "Patent Attorney" on the door.

One is standing at the window with a futuristic weapon, aiming it at
the streets below, saying "Death Ray? Fiddlesticks! It doesn't even
slow them down!"
