Runtime Error R6025
cdoyle[ at ]oz.net 01.08.2006 15:43:06
Hi,

I went live with my internal site the other day, and one of my users is
getting this error

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Program Files: C\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEexplorer.exe

R6025
-pure virtual function call.

They get this whenever they try and leave any of the DAP's I've
created. If they click on 'OK' on the error, it closes IE and they
have to start all over.

I don't get this error, and so far nobody else has mentioned it to me.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this for this person? Is there a
setting that can be turned off?

The DAP displays fine for her, it's just when she tries to leave the
page she gets that error. Not sure what causes it, and since I don't
get it. Not sure where to start looking.

Thanks
Chris.

Anyone have any idea to what would be causing this for this one person?

Well, you can try downloading and reinstalling the latest OWC for either the
2002 or 2003 version:

bummer, IT won't allow us to install anything on our PC's
and this person is in another state, so I couldn't just do it myself
for her.

any other thoughts? or ideas?

Obvioulsy, this particular PC has a problem and should be checked and/or
reinstalled. If IT won't allow you to touch it, then give it to them and
tell them that it's now their problem to solve.

For the rest, you are seeing here one of the reasons why DAPs are in a free
fall.

I wish MS could find a better way for web integration, instead of
dropping it all together from 07.

I use these on our Intranet, and they work for the most part pretty
good. Besides this one person, I haven't had much of an issue with
them.

I don't have many options for having a web connection to a database.
Actually as of now, DAPs were the only option I have. Hopefully before
we are forced to upgrade to 07 here, I'll have more options.
