i bought a kit and haven't got the serial number

i got a windows xp and the instruction said that i should have the serial #
by mail and i haven't got any, so, i can't instal my original xp

Although this isn't the correct forum for this, here is my thoughts.
Some guy or guys are sitting at their home laughing on scoring several more
hundred dollars from someone trying to save a few bucks and thinking they
made a great deal.
You get what you pay for.

I think you were dupped fefijoe. Changes are you will never see that serial
number.When you buy Windows XP, the serial number is included on the paper
CD holder or at least mine was.

Looks like you are going to have to buy a legimate copy and spend about $300
if want that legal copy on top of whatever you spent to get the bogus copy.
Hopefully, this will be lesson learned.
