Can't add users and groups
parolam[ at ]nwc.navy.mil 11.07.2006 15:17:16
I create a new MDW file, then created a new database using the new mdw,
then created a super user, then logged out and logged in as the super
user. Then I removed all the permissions from the admin and user. Now
when I go back to the security I can't add any users and the group tab
is missing. How can I get this back? Do I need to start over?

Thanks Mike P

When you say you removed all permissions from the Admin, do you mean you removed the permissions from the Admins group?
The Admin user has no explicit rights that I'm aware of; all rights are inherited through the membership in the Admins
group.

Did you add you new superuser to the Admins group, or somehow provide for that user the ability to Administer the
database?
