Were running an access 2000 database with a workgroup file.
I can't see anything for adding the workgroup into access and yet access
says I need to add the workgroup file and doesn't tell me how....

can someone tell me how, thanks

Kevin,
There are 2 ways. First, you can join each computer to your workgroup by
using the workgroup administrator -- wrkgrpadmin.exe. Second, and this is
the preferred method, you can create a desktop shortcut that uses the wrkgrp
switch. The general syntax for that shortcut is "FullPathToMSAccess.exe"
"FullPathToDatabase.mdb" /wrkgrp "FullPathToWorkgroup.mdw"
