If you must do this in Word, set up a table with as many columns as there are pieces of information about a single book. Put all the information about one book into one row of the table. Then start another row (by pressing the Tab key at the end of the last cell) to add another book. (Advice: Use separate columns for the author's first name and last name, or at least enter them as "last name, first name" so you can sort on the last names.) To do the sort, put the cursor anywhere inside the table, go to the Table menu, and select Sort. In the dialog that appears, choose which column to sort.
